Shakespeare's playgoing

The next group of short videos from my Shakespeare and his World course bring the man to the theatre world: what might have been his first experience of playgoing? And what was the London theatre scene like when he first arrived there? The module will continue next week by using the rehearsal scene in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (one of my absolute favourites) to explore the process of casting and rehearsal.
